Master chainsaw carver Lonnie Glines will be doing live chainsaw carving creating works of wood art

Manistee County Historical Museum – 425 River Street
An exhibit featuring games, toys, movies, books, music, theatre and photos from Manistee in the
July 1 – July 4 Kick-off Party from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Wagoner Community Center at 260 St Mary’s Parkway
Outdoor party/picnic. Open to the public. Jerry Zupin will cater the meal, Virgil Baker and the Just 4
Fun band will provide the entertainment. Food, Fun, Prizes. Tickets will be available at the senior
center, 260 St. Mary’s Parkway Manistee MI 49660.
July 1 – Middle School Dance from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Armory Youth Project at 555 First Street
If you’re going to be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the 21/22 school year, grab a friend and head to the
Armory Youth Project to hang out, win prizes, and maybe even DANCE! We are conveniently located
close to the Forest Festival action and we have tons of room to socially distance – inside and outside!
Concessions will be available and registration is required –

Live at the Wagoner Community Center (260 St. Mary’s Parkway, Manistee, MI 49660), Cousin Curtiss
will be performing on Thursday, July 1st from 6PM – 9PM. Admission is $10/person. Join us for an
evening of fun!

Outdoor Book Sale (behind the Manistee Library at 95 Maple Street)

variety of options to choose from.

The District Health Department #10 is offering a Pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic (Johnson & Johnson
and Pfizer) on Saturday, July 3rd from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM.
July 3 –Cafe 1907 Block Party starting at 8:00 PM – Midnight (12:00 AM)
Block party at Cafe 1907 featuring the band Onager who will be playing from 8:00 pm – midnight.
There will be pulled pork sandwiches and chips available for purchase and a cash bar. Cost – $15 per
person admission admission must be 21 years or older.
July 3 – Manistee Firecracker 5K Run/Walk starting at 8:15 AM
Manistee Middle/High School
Come run/walk a 5K to support the Manistee Community Track. Trophies/Plaques for overall winners
and age group winners.

Family day with family centered activities including a costume contest, scavenger hunt, community
booths and family competition (potato sack race, tug of war, pie eating). Free lunch provided for kids
up to age 16.

Pay tribute to those who have served or who are currently serving with this traditional flag-raising
July 4 – Special Sunset and Fireworks Cruise on board The Princess of Ludington from 8:30 PM – 10:30 PM
The Princess slip on the Riverwalk/City Marina, 480 River Street
A special cruise to enjoy the sunset and the Forest Fest fireworks show from the deck of the Princess.
